KS3 Food Technology

An interactive whiteboard resource focusing on seasonal food, for secondary food studies based on the Meat Smart guide and calendar, available from Meatmatters.com

Supermarkets today are able to bring us food from all around the world at all times of the year – strawberries at Christmas and turnips at Easter for example. But many foods, especially fruit and vegetables, have a natural time of the year when they are in season.

This resource highlights a range of foods that are in season at different times of the year. It contains photos, recipes and information, based around 12 seasonal fruits or vegetables.
You can also download 24 high quality images of the seasonal foods and recipes featured in the MeatSmart resource, to print and use in classroom displays and students' project work, click here.
